CHANGCHUN, Northeast China, July 26 -- The Chinese women's soccer team tied with Russia 2-2 in a friendly match on Tuesday in the city of Changchun, in Jilin Province.
The hosts enjoyed a flying start and took a 2-0 lead with 20 minutes into the first half, thanks to goals from Xu Yuan and You Jia. However, Russia took the rhythm of the match after the break, scoring two goals to deny China's victory.
"Our players are not so concentrated on this game, because they were given too little time to prepare for this match. But, I think if we take every precious chance and make better preparations, the result will be definitely different," said Li Xiaopeng, coach of the Chinese team.
