BERLIN, July 7 -- German Bundesliga powerhouse FC Bayern Munich appointed a small group drawn from the Ultra scene as "persona non grata", or unwelcome man, as they presented again anti-Manuel Neuer banners at a test match, the club said on Thursday in an official statement.
Bayern officials and a group of supporters' representatives held a round table discussion to acquire various agreements last Saturday. Both sides agreed that in "future all official fan clubs and Ultra representatives who were present will regard goalkeeper Manuel Neuer as a full member of the FC Bayern Munich team, who should be treated with due respect. Furthermore, hostility towards him should cease".
But at a yesterday's test match a small group broke this agreement as they presented a banner with the message: "You can parry, no matter how many balls. We will never accept you in our jersey."
"FC Bayern Munich and the supporters' representatives reject the attempt by this small group to undermine the agreement between the participants at the round table," Bayern Munich officials and all official fan clubs said.
Since German international goalkeeper Manuel Neuer joined his new club Bayern this season there are some fan groups that not agree with the signing.
