ANKARA, April 29 -- Andre Greipel of Germany on Friday won the sixth stage of the 47th Presidential Tour of Turkey, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
Greipel from the Omega Parma-Lotto team finished the 184-kilometer stage in the Tour of Turkey with four hours 27 minutes 02 seconds and became the winner.
Echequibel Garcia from the CJR team ranked second while Barthosz Huzarski from the NetApp team came on the third place.
The 1,387-km tour, which is the first ever intercontinental cycling event, features 22 teams and 176 professional cyclists this year and it will end in Alanya in southern Turkey on May 1.
