MILAN, April 28 -- AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has attributed his side's success to improvement in defense since January.
The former European champions are eight points clear at the top of the table in Serie A with four games remained this season.
AC Milan are the joint top scorers in the Italian top flight and have conceded just 23 goals, making them defensively the best team in the division.
Allegri is delighted with his team's performance at the back and told Ansa: "I really like this Milan."
"From January onwards the team improved a great deal in terms of its defence. Usually the side with the best defense wins the league."
If Milan win the Serie A title this season, then it will be their first Scudetto since 2004.
