可是有一天有许多的虫子爬到了大树爷爷的身上，它们在大树爷爷的身上乱啃，大树爷爷一点办法也没有，伤心地哭了。这时啄木鸟医生飞来了，它对大树爷爷说：“您别急，我来帮您来捉虫子。”只见它在树干上东敲敲，西敲敲，不时出树洞里捉出许多虫子。不一会儿整个大树上的虫子就被它吃完了。大树爷爷可高兴了，它对啄木鸟说：“谢谢你，我现在舒服多了。”啄木鸟回头说：“不用谢，这是我应该做的。”大树爷爷开心地笑了。
But one day, a lot of insects climbed onto grandpa Dashu's body. They nibbled on Grandpa Dashu's body. Grandpa Dashu could not help but cry sadly. Then doctor woodpecker came and said to Grandpa Dashu, "don't worry, I'll help you catch insects." I saw him knock on the trunk from east to west, and catch many insects in the hole from time to time. In a short time, all the insects on the tree were eaten up by it. Grandpa Dashu was very happy. He said to the woodpecker, "thank you. I'm much more comfortable now." The woodpecker looked back and said, "no thanks, this is what I should do." Grandpa Dashu smiled happily.
