LONDON, May 17 -- Manchester City confirmed on Tuesday that their Argentine striker Carlos Tevez is set to stay at the Premier League club.
It is reported that Tevez handed in a transfer request earlier in the season and even after captaining City to victory in last weekend's FA Cup final against Stoke, he suggested he might have to move back to South America for family reasons.
Manager Roberto Mancini said: "He has a five-year contract and has told us he wants to stay. He said that before. He never had any problem."
