上个星期日，我向妈妈提出我要买书的意见，但我还有很多书没有看完，怎么办呢？妈妈会不会买给我呢？没想到妈妈却说：“你下个星期从星期一到星期五之内能背三首诗，我就买一本书给你。”我说：“好啊！”

Last Sunday, I proposed to my mother that I should buy books, but I still have a lot of books to read. What should I do? Will mom buy it for me? But my mother said, "you can recite three poems from Monday to Friday next week. I'll buy you a book." I said, "OK!"

这个星期我果然背了三首诗，我高兴得不得了，我忙告诉妈妈。妈妈一听，就问我要买什么书，我说：“买本《红楼梦》。”妈妈听了就出去买了。不一会儿，妈妈回来了，手里拿着一本书，对我说：“《红楼梦》买回来了。”我听了，开心得手舞足蹈。

I recited three poems this week. I was so happy that I told my mother. As soon as my mother heard about it, she asked me what I wanted to buy. I said, "buy a dream of Red Mansions." Mom listened and went out to buy it. After a while, my mother came back with a book in her hand and said to me, "a dream of Red Mansions" has been bought. " I listened and danced with joy.
