初夏的麦子

今天上午,爸爸带我和姐姐去农科院实验田里看麦子。现在是五月,麦子还未成熟,要等到六月,也就是天气最热的时候,麦子才会成熟。

五月的夏天,麦子已经渐渐的开始泛出金黄色。我摘了一棵麦子,爸爸对我说:五月的麦子是淡黄色的,等到六月的时候就变成了金黄色。我摸摸麦子,感觉非常扎手,因为麦子上面有许多又长又尖的小刺,这是麦子用来防御敌害的最佳武器。爸爸说:如果不小心扎着的话,手上就会长一些小痘痘,又红又肿,又痛又痒,非常难受。我着急得说:那该怎么办呀?爸爸说:下次小心别摸就行了。麦子是经农民伯伯的精心呵护才长成的。它们从一粒小小的种子变成一棵麦子。

这个过程是怎样的呢?让我来讲给你们听:农民伯伯先用犁把土翻松,把一粒粒种子种到土里面。然后浇水、施肥。过了几天,小种子就悄悄地钻出了地面,来看看外面的大千世界。农民伯伯还帮它锄草、松土。小麦苗渐渐的长高了,绿绿的麦苗在田野里随风起伏。在雨水的浇灌下,小麦苗长出了长长的麦穗。因为雨水和阳光充足,里面的麦粒就会一天比一天饱满。经过好几个月的生长,到了六月盛夏,它们就变成了耀眼的金黄色。夏天是麦子成熟的季节,农民伯伯用镰刀(现在有的也用收割机)把麦子割下来进行脱壳、晒场,然后将晒干后的麦仁装进口袋。一部分自己留着作口粮,一部分当下次种麦子的种子,还有一部分卖给国家。国家把从农民伯伯那儿买的麦子运到工厂里,工人们再把这些麦仁磨成面粉。我们现在吃的面包、馒头、饺子、包子等面食,都是用小麦磨成的面粉制成的。看来我们的生活中不能缺少了麦子,也应该更加珍惜粮食!我摘的麦子现在还留着,因为秋天种比较合适。我打算今年秋天在院子里把它种下去,等到明年的六月,麦子就会成熟了。通过这篇日记,我认识了麦子,也了解了麦子的生长过程。我很高兴,因为我又增长了一些新知识!

We now eat bread, steamed bread, dumplings, steamed buns and other pasta, are made of wheat flour. It seems that we can't live without wheat, and we should cherish food more! The wheat I picked is still there because it's suitable for autumn planting. I'm going to plant it in the yard this autumn. By next June, the wheat will be ripe.
