Curiosity is undoubtedly a heart that wants to know what it doesn't know. If we only focus on this, it seems to me that men, women, old and young people all over the world have such a "heart".

There is a kind of "curiosity" that is most common in Lu Xun's articles; it is curiosity that drives the people to rush to watch "decapitation program"; it is curiosity that drives the neighbors to listen to Xianglinsao's cry; it is also curiosity that drives Ah Q's "revolution". However, maybe these can only be called "curiosity", but "heart" is lost. Such "curiosity" is based on the prying into other people's pain, and on the darkness of the "iron house". If this is also the true sense of "curiosity", then no, no matter what.

What about looking at the world? This kind of "curious and unintentional" is also everywhere. The chastity on the stake satisfied the curiosity of the medieval people, and the roaring Quasimodo satisfied the curiosity of the common people. This kind of "curiosity" seems to have become the world language of "one heart with one child". In this kind of language, it is full of stupidity, mediocrity, decline and lifelessness.

What is real curiosity?

Real curiosity needs observation. "One flower, one world, one leaf, one heaven and earth". There is no lack of beauty in the world, just the lack of eyes to discover beauty. Observe carefully, even the most common things will turn into "magic". In ancient times, people looked up at the stars, explored the mysteries of star shifting, and tasted the beauty of light clouds gathering. Now, we wave with another planet through telescopes, and perceive the microcosm through a microscope. It can be said that without the tools to observe and help us to observe better, curiosity will also close the window on the atrium and fall full of dust.

Real curiosity needs thinking. If "the brilliant starry sky above us" is an infinite stage for us to observe, then "the moral law in our hearts" is the only way to inspire and constrain us to deepen our observation results. As Pascal said, "thinking makes man great, and all our dignity lies in thinking - even if you are just a reed grass under the strong nature." If there is no such thinking in the presence of soul, no matter how many apples fall down, I'm afraid we can't smash the discovery of "universal gravitation"; no matter how much human beings devote themselves to observation and learning, it's hard to have a little creativity and progress.

Real curiosity is not "curiosity hunting", its existence is not to "discover" others' pain and trample on the truth with mediocrity or ignorance. Its existence needs the eyes of observation to locate and the mind of the thinker to show its value.

With such curiosity, difficulties can be solved, progress can be made, and human beings can survive better and maintain their dignity

There is a saying in Hamlet: "being in the shell, you also think of yourself as the king of the infinite universe." Perhaps, because of the real "curiosity", we can burst out such a cry with a more powerful voice.

What's more, because of curiosity, our world is much wider than the shell.
