尊敬的人类：

Dear human beings

首先，对万物之主的智慧生物致以崇高的敬意。

First of all, I would like to pay high tribute to the intelligent creatures of the Lord of all things.

自盘古开天地，万物形成，众生平等，自由生活。然而无能鼠辈不能以正道生存，做起了偷摸东西、损人利己的勾当，霸占粮食，损毁衣物，扰乱人们正常的生活，甚至传播疾病，犯下滔天大罪。自帝喾开始，鼠类便为人类之大敌。出于正义之感、自然之法，自然界生灵们对鼠辈表示谴责，并推举猫头鹰、蛇、黄鼠狼等作为鼠之天敌，组成灭鼠联盟。千万年来，我们兢兢业业，牢记使命，为自然、为人类除去鼠患，竭力保持生态平衡，为构建和谐自然倾尽全力。

Since the beginning of Pan Gu, everything has been formed, all living beings are equal and live freely. However, the incompetent rats can't live in the right way. They start to steal and touch things at the expense of others, occupy food, damage clothes, disturb people's normal life, even spread diseases, and commit a heinous crime. Since Diku, rats have been the enemy of human beings. Out of the sense of justice and the law of nature, the natural creatures denounced the rats, and elected owls, snakes, weasels and other natural enemies of rats to form a deratization alliance. For tens of thousands of years, we have worked hard to keep in mind our mission, to eliminate rat diseases for nature and human beings, to maintain ecological balance and to build a harmonious nature.

可是，正当我们认真履行自身职责时，你们人类却忘却了自然之法，大肆杀害灭鼠联盟之战士，导致我们成员数目日益减少，元气大伤。这一切，只因你们人类太贪婪，热衷野味，视我们为餐桌上的佳肴，完全不顾我们为人类作出的巨大贡献！唉，你们只顾眼前，不看长远，结果呢，鼠患日益严重，各地鼠辈横行。公元2007年，洞庭湖一场洪水，20亿田鼠迁徙，所过之处，农田几无收获，田间地头一片狼藉。人类啊，当你动辄用大量人力物力，甚至派出飞机灭鼠时，可曾想过，之所以会酿成今日鼠灾苦果，是因为当初自己的贪婪！

However, when we conscientiously perform our duties, you humans forget the law of nature and kill the soldiers of the deratization alliance, which leads to the decreasing number of our members and great loss of vitality. All of this, because you humans are too greedy, keen on game, as we eat at the table, regardless of our great contribution to mankind! Alas, you only look at the present, not the long-term. As a result, rat disease is becoming more and more serious, and rats everywhere are rampant. In 2007, there was a flood in Dongting Lake, and 2 billion voles migrated. Where they passed, there was little harvest in the farmland, and the field was in a mess. Human beings, when you often use a lot of human and material resources, or even send out airplanes to kill rats, you have thought that the reason why the rat disaster today will be caused is because of your own greed!

自古君子“酌贪泉而觉爽，处涸辙以犹欢”。人不可贪婪，应坦诚对待万物，即使拥有我们望尘莫及的伟大智慧，即使建立城市，登上月球，都不可忘却自然法则，冷落心中那片回归自然、感受生命的纯洁土地。“忧劳可以兴国，逸豫可以亡身”，要是人类沉浸于取得文明的巨大成就中而不思自省，那么千年前楼兰古城的冤魂们冥冥中也要扼腕长叹了！

如今的灭鼠联盟已是支离破碎，残破不堪，我等捕鼠志士，面对猖狂鼠辈，心中悲愤不已。但是我们纵使面对千万灾难，也会坚强地站起来；我们更期待人类能改过自新，牢记教训，遵守自然法则，努力构建新社会新自然。我们相信，现代科技掩盖不了心中那种亲近土地的自然感情，我们相信，贪婪的欲望战胜不了心中那种纯真质朴的土壤气息。
