奥运年的民族精神

今年是2008年，是奥运年，是值得我们中国人骄傲的一年！然而今年也是中国多灾多难的一年，雪灾、地震、洪灾等等一系列的灾害，震惊了全世界的人民。然而正是这一年，我们的民族精神被表现得淋漓尽致。

08年元月底2月初，正当我们举国上下高高兴兴迎接奥运会的时候，我国南方遭受了百年不遇的冰灾，使人民的生命财产受到了巨大的损失。南方的电网受到了极大的破坏，湖南最为严重。但也出现了许许多多的英雄人物，他们为抢救电网而英勇牺牲了。湖南省电力公司变电建设公司员工罗海文、罗长明、周景华在高压线路上人工除冰时，因线路覆冰太厚、铁塔不堪重负，3座铁塔相继坍塌，正在线路上抢修的3人也相继从50多米的高空坠落地面，周景华当场遇难，罗海文和罗长明经抢救无效身亡。他们死了，但我觉得他们死而无憾，因为他们是为了人民的生命财产而死，他们是最可爱的人。

When Luo Haiwen, Luo Changming and Zhou Jinghua, the staff of Hunan electric power company's power transformation construction company, manually deicing the high-voltage line, because the line is too thick with ice and the tower is too heavy to bear the burden, the three towers have collapsed one after another, and the three people who are repairing the line have also fallen from a height of more than 50 meters, Zhou Jinghua was killed on the spot, Luo Haiwen and Luo Changming were invalid in rescue. They died, but I don't regret that they died, because they died for the people's lives and property, they are the most lovely people.

5月12日14时28分，四川汶川发生了里氏8。0级的大地震。瞬间使得那里的楼房坍塌，人员伤亡惨重。温家宝总理在第一时间赶到了重灾区指挥抗震救灾行动。当地某校中学的政治老师谭千秋，在地震来临前，他正在上课，这堂课的题目是：人生的价值。当地震来临时，在紧要关头他用自己的身体护住了4名学生，把生的希望让给了学生，自己却献出了宝贵的生命，他用自己的行动完美地演绎着这堂课。一位来自广东的医生来四川旅游，凑巧碰到了这次地震，他家8口人全死了，可他化悲痛为力量坚持奋战在抗震第一线，确实令人感动……一方有难八方支援，不论身份地位，不论年龄大小，举国上下人们纷纷伸出援助之手，甘当救灾志愿者，捐款、捐物等等。我们班的李康华同学把他平时节省下来的210元零花钱毫不犹豫地捐给了灾区人民，他是我们少年儿童的楷模。

A doctor from Guangdong came to Sichuan for a tour. He happened to encounter the earthquake. Eight people in his family died. But he turned his grief into strength and insisted on fighting in the front line of earthquake resistance. It's really touching People from all over the country are willing to volunteer for disaster relief, donate money, goods and so on. Li Kanghua, a classmate of our class, donated the 210 yuan of pocket money he saved at ordinary times to the people in the disaster area without hesitation. He is a model for our children.

在奥运年，面对着如此巨大的灾难，我们的中国人民毫不畏惧，弘扬民族精神，团结一致，共同克服困难。这就是中国人，不畏艰险的中国人，他们具有奥运火炬熊熊燃烧永不熄灭般的民族精神。
