RIO DE JANEIRO, Jan. 28 -- Former Brazil U-20 playmaker Gabriel Boschilia has joined Internacional from Monaco on a three-year contract, the Brazilian Serie A club said on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old made just five league appearances for Monaco this season, having rejoined the Ligue 1 club in July after a loan spell with Nantes.
"The player will travel to Porto Alegre and sign a contract until the end of 2022 after undergoing a medical," read a statement on Internacional's official website.
Boschilia rose to prominence in 2013 when he scored eight times in 10 matches for Brazil's U-17 team, including six goals at the U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
Internacional finished seventh in the 2019 Brazilian Serie A, 33 points behind champions Flamengo.
