MADRID, Nov. 19 -- Spanish Liga Santander club Osasuna have confirmed that coach Jagoba Arrasate has signed a new contract to extend his stay until the end of June 2022.
Both Arrasate's assistant Bittor Alkiza and physical coach Sergi Perez have also extended their stays with the Pamplona (northern Spain) based club for the same period.
The new deal is a reward for the excellent work Arrasate has done in a year and a half at Osasuna in which he has led them to promotion back to the Liga Santander from the second division and established then in a mid-table position on their return to the top-flight.
Osasuna is currently in tenth place in the league table with 19-points from their 13 games and with just two defeats all season.
Even more impressively the club is enjoying an unbeaten run of 31 matches in their El Sadar home ground ahead of this weekend's game at home to Athletic Club Bilbao.
41-year-old Arrasate began his coaching career with Real Sociedad, before moving to second division Numancia, where he also did an excellent job during his three years there, taking the club to the play-off finals, before moving to Osasuna in June 2018.
