RIYADH, Nov. 9 -- Al Hilal SFC of Saudi Arabia secured a narrow 1-0 win over Urawa Red Diamonds of Japan in their first leg of the 2019 AFC Champions League Final here on Saturday.
Midfielder Andre Carrillo swang in a close-range winner in the 60th minute, the first win for Al Hilal over Urawa Red Diamonds in the AFC Champions League history.
The match at Riyadh's King Saud University Stadium was also the second one for Al Hilal over Red Diamonds in three years.
Al Hilal, the two-time Asian Club Championship winners, came to the AFC Champions League finals twice in 2017 and 2017, but lost with a single goal margin both times.
The second leg of their AFC Champions League Final is scheduled for November 24 in Japan.
