TIANJIN, China, Oct. 12 -- The semifinals of 2019 WTA Tianjin Open wrapped up here on Saturday with Sweden's Rebecca Peterson and Heather Watson of Britain advancing to the final.
After losing the first set 6-0, Peterson gradually played upped her game and turned around the situation at the following two sets, overturning Tunisia's No. 1 Ons Jabeur 6-4, 7-5 with two hours and six minutes.
Peterson's opponent in the final is Heather Watson, who defeated Russia's Veronika Kudermetova in Saturday's match 6-1, 6-4.
The two finalists have met each other at the Wuhan Open this year when Peterson took down the Briton in straight sets.
"Tomorrow we will have a different result. I am more confident and in a good form. I will try my best to win the final," said Watson.
