MADRID, Aug. 28 -- FC Barcelona on Monday presented new signing Ousmane Dembele to the fans and press at the Camp Nou stadium.
Dembele has cost Barcelona a club record 105 million euros, plus a further possible 40 million for fulfilling a series of objectives and agreed a five-year contract.
The 20-year-old joins from Borussia Dortmund, where he had been suspended after boycotting training earlier in the month in order to try and force the deal through.
At his presentation. Dembele said that his first objectives were to "integrate into the new club and to win trophies."
However, it was not an entirely happy day at the club as a section of the fans booed Barca President Josep Maria Bartomeu for his handling of the sale of Neymar to Paris Saint Germain and the apparent chaos in Barca's transfer dealings over the summer.
Meanwhile, the club's Director of Sport, Robert Fernandez, said Barca were still negotiating to try and sign Brazilian midfielder Phillipe Coutinho from Liverpool and "hoped" to present him at the end of the week.
