HELSINKI, Oct. 7 -- Chinese Jin Boyang, bronze medalist of the 2017 World Figure Skating Championships, won the gold medal in the men's singles on Saturday at Finlandia Trophy International Figure Skating Competition in Espoo, southern Finland.
The 20-year-old Jin was second after the short program on Friday, and he finally won the title with a total of 252.60 points.
American Vincent Zhou, the 2017 world junior champion, took the silver medal with 250.01 points, and the bronze medal went to Zhou's teammate Adam Rippon with 249.88 points.
The short program leader Mikhail Kolyada of Russia, who won the bronze medal at the 2017 European Figure Skating Championships, dropped to fourth place after the free skate.
The annual Finlandia Trophy International Figure Skating Competition, part of the ISU Challenger Series, is held at Metro Arena in Espoo. The event kicked off on Friday and will continue until Sunday.
