JAKARTA, Oct. 24 -- Indonesia's national U-23 soccer team will face Syria and Jordan in friendlies next month, a senior official of national soccer association disclosed here on Tuesday.
The matches will be played in Wibawa Mukti sport stadium of Bekasi, an outskirt city of Jakarta on Nov. 18 and 25, secretary general of the association Ratu Tisha Destria said.
The tryout matches are parts of the country's U-23 team preparation for vying in the 18th Asian Games next year in Indonesia, she said.
"These friendly matches are parts of formation and preparation of the team for competing in the Asian Games," she said.
Both U-23 teams from Syria and Jordan have qualified for the Asia U-23 Cup 2018, according to the association.
