TUNIS, Nov. 11 -- Tunisia has officially taken a ticket to the World Cup Russia 2018 after its 0-0 draw against Libya on Saturday night on the last day of the African qualifying.
Tunisia is one point ahead of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in group A by 14 points against 13 points.
The national coach Nabil Maaloul told Xinhua after the match that "we are qualified and we will be in Russia". He thanked his players for "having done their best" .
The Eagles of Carthage will play their fifth World Cup since 1978, during the first participation in Mexico, then in 1998 in France, in 2002 in South Korea-Japan and in 2006 in Germany.
