DUBAI, Dec. 16 -- Real Madrid retained the FIFA Club World Cup with a 1-0 victory over Brazil's Gremio in Saturday's final at the Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Cristiano Ronaldo scored the only goal through a free-kick in the 53rd minute.
The win marked the first time a Real Madrid side had ever won five titles in a calendar year.
