CIXI, China, Feb. 2 -- Zheng Siwei scored two points to help Xiamen Tefang breeze past Zhejiang Nengyuan 3-0 to take the 2017-2018 China Badminton Super League title here on Friday.
Zheng, 21, the world No. 1 in mixed doubles, paired with Chen Qingchen to clinch the opening point for Xiamen with straight-game victory 21-16, 21-15 over Zhejiang's Wang Yilyu and Huang Yaqiong.
One hour later, he went onto the court again to take the men's doubles with Liu Cheng, beating Wang Yilyu and Wang Sijie 21-12, 21-19 to seal the match for Xiamen.
Zhejiang that toppled two-time defending champions Qingdao Renzhou in the semifinal on Thursday, failed to carry on the momentum in the final, where Huang Yuxiang, who stunned twice Olympic champion Lin Dan in the semi, lost to world No. 9 NG Ka Long Angus of Hong Kong, China 21-14, 21-13 in the men's singles.
Earlier in the afternoon, Qingdao Renzhou hammered Jiangsu Annier for the bronze medal with three straight wins.
