BERLIN, May 30 -- Hamburg striker Andre Hahn returns to Augsburg after signing a four-year deal, the "Fuggerstaedter" confirmed in an official statement on Wednesday.
Four years after leaving Augsburg for league rivals Borussia Monchengladbach and then Hamburg, Andre Hahn has decided to return to his old club after the relegation of Hamburg.
"Andre Hahn has gained a lot of experience nationally and internationally since leaving Augsburg. He will be able to help us to achieve our goals in the coming years," Augsburg's CEO Stefan Reuter said.
The striker left Augsburg in 2017 and played three years for Monchengladbach before he joined Hamburg in 2017 to score three goals in 23 outings.
"I am happy to be back in Augsburg because I felt very well here. Augsburg trusts in me again and I want to give this trust back to the club, all those responsible and the fans," Hahn said.
Augsburg completed the Bundesliga season 201/18 on the 12th position of the standings.
