WASHINGTON, June 25 -- The US men's soccer team will play Brazil, England and Italy this fall, the US Soccer Association announced on Monday.
The US will play Brazil on September 7th at East Rutherford, New Jersey, four days before a previously announced game against Mexico in Nashville, Tennessee.
In November, the US will head to Europe for a head-to-head with England at Wembley Stadium in London on November 15th. The team will close out its 2018 schedule on November 20 against Italy at a location still to be determined.
The US will also play two more home games in October, with details to be confirmed at a later date, the association added.
"We are at the beginning phase of building our identity," said US men's team general manager Earnie Stewart. "These matches are obviously huge challenges, and for young players it's an opportunity to see the benchmark of some of the top teams in the world. We can use these experiences to learn about ourselves and take the next steps towards developing into the team we want to become."
The US failed to qualify for the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia.?
