CZESTOCHOWA, Dec. 2 -- Two Italian teams Cucine Lube Civitanova and Diatecx Trentino beat their respective opponents in Saturday's semifinals of FIVB Men's Club World Championship and set up a clash for gold for Italy for the first time in six years.
Trentino, the most decorated club in the history of the competition, defeated Fakel Novy Urengoy 3-1 (22-25, 25-14, 25-16, 25-19) in the semifinal action as Lube cruised past Asseco Resovia Rzeszow 3-1 (29-31, 25-19, 25-14, 25-23), eyeing for their first ever title after last year's final loss to Zenit Kazan.
Asseco Resovia Rzeszow of Poland and Russia's Fakel Novy Urengoy are to play for the bronze medal.
