BEIJING, Aug. 16 -- The Chinese Football Association (CFA) will hold its 11th membership conference at the National Football Training Center next Thursday to elect a new president, vice presidents and executive committee, the CFA announced here on Friday.
The notice released by the CFA said that "the conference will also revise the CFA Statutes and review a CFA working report."
On May 24 of this year, the CFA named former Shanghai SIPG chairman Chen Xuyuan as head of the preparation team for the election, which makes Chen likely to be the first CFA president to be elected from the business world.
The 10th CFA membership conference was held in January 2017, when Cai Zhenhua was elected as president.
