奥巴马获邀客串《纸牌屋》走后门求看第二季

PAINED by political gridlock, US President Barack Obama let slip that he wished Washington was as "ruthlessly efficient" as the Machiavellian world portrayed in Kevin Spacey's Netflix hit House of Cards.

美国总统奥巴马自称苦于政治事务中处处碰壁，他希望美国政府能像凯文·史派西主演、网飞公司制作的热门美剧《纸牌屋》中描述的那样“冷酷而高效”。

Mr Obama, who has spent a gruelling three years battling a Republican House of Representatives, ruefully wished life imitated art during a photo op with bosses of top internet firms, including a top Netflix executive on Tuesday.

As Deadline reports, a Netflix CEO Reed Hastings made a cheeky attempt to persuade Obama to star in the series after he was invited to discuss the government's policies on healthcare and surveillance with the US President.

根据Deadline网站的报道，网飞公司CEO里德·哈斯廷斯受邀出席见面会，与总统交流关于政府医疗和监管政策， 哈斯廷斯也趁机邀请奥巴马总统在《纸牌屋》中客串一下。

"I'm just wondering if you brought advance copies of House of Cards?" Mr Obama quipped.

“我想问一下，你们《纸牌屋》第二季什么时候出啊？”奥巴马调侃道。

After Obama made a quip to Hastings asking whether he had brought an advanced copy of the second season of the show on DVD with him, the CEO fired back: "Are you willing to do a little cameo?"

奥巴马总统调侃哈斯廷斯问他有没有把第二季DVD版提前准备好带来给他，哈斯廷斯也不甘示弱回敬说：“总统您要不要来演个配角？”

"I wish things were that ruthlessly efficient," Obama responded by joking, of the Washington ruled by the fearsome character, House majority whip Frank Underwood.

“我希望现实生活也那么冷酷而且高效就好了。” 奥巴马总统则开玩笑似地回应。他指的是《纸牌屋》中的弗兰克·安德伍德， 这位令人望而生畏的政坛领袖。

"This guy's getting a lot of stuff done," Mr Obama joked.

A second series of multiple Emmy nominated House of Cards, loosely based on a British miniseries of the 1990s, debuts in February on Netflix, in the US.
