PARIS, Aug. 5 -- Argentine striker Dario Benedetto has made a move from his home country's Boca Juniors to Marseille through a four-year contract, the Ligue 1 outfit announced on Monday.
The 29-year-old Benedetto is the second signing of Marseille this summer. It's the first time for him to have moved to a European league in his career.
After playing in several clubs in Mexican and Argentine leagues, Benedetto moved to Boca Juniors in 2016, scoring 46 goals in 76 games played over the past three seasons and winning two league titles.
Benedetto has won five caps for national team since his debut in 2017.
Marseille will host Reims on Saturday to kick off their new season's league campaign.
