JERUSALEM, Aug. 2 -- The American famous singer Jennifer Lopez performed her first concert in Israel on Thursday evening with around 57,000 fans.
During the concert, part of her "It's My Party" tour, Lopez told the audience it was her first time in Tel Aviv, and she is celebrating her 50th birthday.
She said "I love you" in Hebrew, and shared her thoughts and inspiration about the journey of life.
Part of the crowd came hours before the event in order to take a place next to the stage, while others later stood long lines at the entrance.
The concert was under heavy security measures. Every major event in Israel is supervised closely and approved by the local police officials under severe restrictions.
Supporters for Palestinians had called Lopez to cancel her concert, as what they do to other celebrities willing to visit Israel.
