BEIJING, July 8 -- The Chinese national swimming team held an open training session today ahead of the Guangzhou Swimming World Championships.
Wang Shun, who will head to the World Championships for a fifth time, said that he is aiming to win a gold medal at the event.
Wang Shun is coming off six weeks of training in the United States. The US training was an attempt to improve his performance in the men's 200-meter medley.
"This time I hope to get better results. I hope to win the gold medal. But the main goal is still to break 1 minute 56 seconds," Wang Shun said.
Wang Shun will compete in three events at the Worlds, including the men's 200m medley, 400m medley and 4x200m freestyle relay.
