RIO DE JANEIRO, June 19 -- Brazil and Peru will play an international friendly in September as both teams prepare for the South American zone qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The match will be played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on September 10, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) said in a statement on Wednesday.
It will come four days after Brazil's friendly with Colombia in Miami, a fixture that was confirmed by the CBF in March.
On Tuesday, the Peruvian Football Federation said the Blanquirroja would play two friendlies against Uruguay in October.
The South American qualifying tournament for the next World Cup will begin next March and end in November 2022.
