MINSK, Jan. 7 -- The hockey team of the President of Belarus won the XV Christmas international amateur ice hockey tournament here on Monday.
The Belarusian squad beat the Russian team 8-5 in the final.
Twelve teams from the Baltic States, the Balkans, China, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Switzerland, Slovakia, Finland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Belarus, and the International Ice Hockey Federation, attended the tournament running from January 3-7.
It is the 12th time for the team of the President of Belarus to claim the title and the 10th time for them to beat the Russian side in the finals.
