WASHINGTON, March 20 -- The Milwaukee Bucks forward Nikola Mirotic will be sidelined for two to four weeks due to sprained and fractured left thumb, the team said on Wednesday.
Mirotic suffered the injury in the third quarter of Tuesday night's win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Mirotic, who was acquired by Milwaukee at the trade deadline this winter, has been a valuable 3-point shooting threat for the Bucks since he landed there.
If Mirotic misses the full four weeks, he would likely not return to Milwaukee's lineup until sometime during the playoffs. The postseason begins on April 13 and Mirotic would theoretically be returning for the end of the first round or the start of the Eastern Conference semifinals. Enditem
