BEIJING, June 7 -- Japanese rock band Suchmos will start its China tour this summer.
The band will hit the stage in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, on June 12, and play Shanghai on June 14 and Beijing on June 16.
Suchmos, formed in 2013, was inspired by rock, jazz and hip-hop, and adapted their name from a jazz musician Louis Armstrong's nickname "Satchmo."
The band's sophisticated musicality and street-oriented presence have attracted public attention and several fashion and culture magazines have put them on their covers.
The group released its first full-length album "The Bay" in 2017, and brought their name to the mainstream with the hit song "Stay Tune" in 2016.
