INDIANAPOLIS, April 20 -- Celtics star Jaylen Brown scored 23 points and Kyrie Irving added 19 to help the Boston Celtics beat the Indiana Pacers 104-96 on Friday night for a 3-0 lead in Eastern Conference series.
The Celtics took control quickly by going 8 of 10 on 3-pointers in the first quarter to build a 37-22 lead before Tyreke Evans allowed Indiana to tie it at 52. Boston scored eight straight points to retake the lead and delivered the final blow with a 10-4 run to claim the victory.
Irving finished with five rebounds and 10 assists in addition to his points tally. Jayson Tatum had 18 points and seven rebounds. Al Horford finished with 16 points and eight rebounds.
For the Pacers, Evans matched his career playoff high with 19 points while Bojan Bogdanovic had 15 points.
