GENEVA, May 18 -- The Chinese national women's volleyball team had to settle in 6th place at the Montreux Volleyball Masters 2019 after a 3-1 defeat to Turkey on Saturday.
China, which sent a young squad without stars like Zhu Ting and Yuan Xinyue, finished third in Pool A as they claimed two straight wins after losing to Japan in the opener.
China pulled one back after they conceded the first set, but the Rio Olympic Champions still lost the game with a scoreline of 18-25, 25-16, 23-25 and 18-25.
Spiker Li Yingying scored a team-high of 17 points while Hande Baladin pocketed 18.
