WASHINGTON, April 30 -- Kevin Durant scored 29 points to help the Golden State Warriors edge past the Houston Rockets 115-109 on home court on Tuesday for a 2-0 lead in their Western Conference semifinal series.
Klay Thompson scored 21 points and Stephen Curry added 20 points for the home team. Center Draymond Green was also in top form, scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists. Forward Andre Iguodala contributed 16 for the Warriors.
Houston star James Harden got hit in eyes early but was able to return and finished with 29 points. Chris Paul had 18 points. Eric Gordon and Clint Capela had 15 and 14 apiece.
Game 3 will be held in Houston on Saturday.
