LIMA, March 8 -- Peru coach Ricardo Gareca on Friday named four Major League Soccer (MLS) players in his squad for friendlies against Paraguay and El Salvador.
The United States-based players are Portland Timbers winger Andy Polo, New York City defender Alexander Callens, San Jose Earthquakes defender Marcos Lopez and Vancouver Whitecaps FC forward Yordy Reyna.
The squad also includes Lokomotiv Moscow forward Jefferson Farfan, Sao Paulo playmaker Cristian Cueva and Feyenoord midfielder Renato Tapia.
Peru face Paraguay in New Jersey on March 22 and El Salvador in Washington four days later.
The matches will be used as preparation by Gareca for the Copa America, to be played in Brazil from June 14 to July 7.
Peru have been drawn in Group A of the continental tournament alongside Brazil, Bolivia and Venezuela.
