WASHINGTON, Sept. 30 -- The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Miami Heat 104-100 in the NBA preseason actions on Sunday.
Forward Rudy Gay scored 13 points and 5 rebounds to lead the Spurs while LaMarcus Aldridge added 10 points and 4 rebounds. Newly recruited guard DeMar DeRozan had 7 points. Derrick White came off the bench to score 12 points.
Center Hassan Whiteside led Miami with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Dwyane Wade had 10 points.
The Spurs will take on the Detroit Pistons while the Heat will face the Washinton Wizards in the next preseason games.
