ALMATY, July 19 -- Olympic figure skating medalist Denis Ten was stabbed to death on Thursday in his native Kazakhstan.
Police in Almaty said Ten, 25, was stabbed during a struggle with two men who allegedly tried to steal the mirrors on his car.
The International Skating Union (ISU), the sport's global governing body, said it was "deeply saddened" by the death of Ten who won bronze at the 2017 Sochi Winter Olympics.
