(4)因果关系：常用so，for，because等。 Peter went to bed early，for he felt very tired. 彼得早早就睡觉了，因为他感到非常疲乏。 7．特别提醒： (1)“祈使句＋and/or(otherwise)＋简单句”也是并列句的一种，or在此意为“否则”。 Give me one more minute or I won't be able to finish it. 再多给我一分钟，否则我不能完成它。 (2)not only...but also连接的并列句，当not only置于句首时，其后的句子通常要用部分倒装的形式。 Not only has she been late three times，but also she has done no work. 她不仅仅迟到了三次，她还没干一点活。
(3)并列句有时也可不用并列连词连接，而用分号(；)连接。 The future is bright；the road is tortuous. 前途是光明的，道路是曲折的。
