　　The over exploitation of World Heritage sites has raised public concern. As is shown in the picture, the World Heritage sites are overcrowded with large groups of tourists pushing, taking photos, or even spitting, smoking and scribbling everywhere, which has caused great damage to these historic buildings.

　　One of the contributing factors of this phenomenon is that the local government is pushing too hard for the development of tourism, ignoring damage prevention and educational function of the sites. Moreover, some self-centered tourists are uncivilized in public places, ignorant of the historical and cultural value of the sites.

　　From my point of view, the original purpose of setting up World Heritage sites is to help preserve history so that people will be able to enjoy them for generations to come. I suggest both the government and the public should be aware that the best form of conservation is the prevention of damage and related protection committees should be established to undertake important educational work.

　　Star Student of the Week

　　Li Yue has been awarded the title of "Star Student of the Week" for what she did for our class. On the hot afternoon of last Saturday, Li Yue went downtown and walked from one store to another, looking for the costumes we would wear in the singing contest. While the rest of us were enjoying our leisure time in cool and comfortable rooms, she spent the whole afternoon searching and selecting. Finally, she found the right clothes. Deeply moved by her efforts, we tried our best and won the first prize in the contest.

　　Li Yue is always warm-hearted and cares a lot about the class. Besides, she often devotes her spare time to helping others. She has set a good example for us. Therefore, she deserves the honor and we should learn from her.

　　As was reported, March 10, 2017 saw a quarrel breaking out between an old man over 60 and a girl on a bus in Zhengzhou city. The reason was that the girl failed to give seat to him even after being hinted. What’s worse, the old man beat the girl in the end.

　　The incident indicates that some people’s morals are, to some extent, declining rapidly currently. On the one hand, the girl might be condemned for her indifference to the old man. It’s great virtue in China for the young to give seat to those who need it badly, such as the senior citizens, the disabled. On the other hand, the old man should take legal responsibility for his rude behavior. After all those underprivileged, even if not helped, are supposed to show forgiveness and gratitude.

　　In short, it’s everyone’s duty to improve social moral level, which is essential to create a harmonious society.

　　My Hobby

　　Good hobbies, which are activities a person likes to do in his spare time can benefit his growth and amuse him. Meanwhile good hobbies will be accompanied with the growth of kids.

　　As for me, what I like most is singing. I began to sing songs when I was very young. I showed great interest in music then, because my uncle often taught me some songs, which were good to listen to and easy to sing.

　　As I grew up, my music teacher found that I had a good voice, so she advised me to study vocal music in the Children’s Palace. From then on, I began my vocal music training. I practiced how to produce sounds and how to make our expressions more natural and more pleasing. I won one award after another in several competitions.

　　As time went by, I still take singing as my hobby since I find music is the interest that is missing in the exams. When I am stressful and bored, it is music that helps me live through these tough hours. Enjoying music, I live a happy life.
