As well as going to the movies and football matches with my friends，I spend a lot of time with my pets.

除了同我的朋友一起去看电影和足球比赛外，我还花很多时间和我的宠物在一起。

(1)as well as除……之外；和；也，连接两个并列成分。

(2)as well as还可以用作连词，表示“和……一样好”；另外连接两个主语时，谓语动词和最前面的主语保持一致。

①(2017·江西书面表达)I can never stop the love for reading because books are like wise teachers as well as good friends in my life.我不能停止对阅读的喜爱，因为在我的生命中书既像好朋友又像明智的老师。

②I wish I could speak English as_well_as_he_can.

我希望自己英语讲得跟他一样好。

③The father as well as his three children goes_skating on the frozen river every Sunday afternoon in winter.冬季的每个星期天下午，父亲和三个孩子常在封冻的河面上滑冰。

as well单独使用于句尾表示“也”“既……，又……”，但是不能用于否定句。

④Of course，I’ll do some reading for fun，and for knowledge as well.当然，我会读些书，为了消遣，也为了获取知识。I have a very busy life with no time to sit around feeling sorry for myself.

我的生活很充实，没有时间闲坐着顾影自怜。

feeling sorry for myself现在分词作伴随状语，表示伴随情况。

①As the light turned green，I stood for a moment，not moving，and asked myself what I was going to do.当交通路灯变绿灯时，我站了一会儿，一动不动，自问要做什么事。

②(2017·山东省四市联考)Reflecting_on his past mistakes，Ted realized that he had stayed around the wrong people.

反思过去的错误，泰德意识到他交错了朋友。

③Gathering around the fire，the tourists danced with the local people.那些旅行者们聚在篝火周围和当地人一起跳舞。
