这是一篇开放性作文：这类作文的特点是只出主题，或两三点提示，或一段素材，然后由考在此基础上充分发挥想象力，
自由创作。开放性作文对考生的能力要求更高，考查也全面。它不仅查考生的书面语言表达能力、语言组织能力，而考查考生的逻辑思维能力、发散思维能力、丰富想象力，以及多角度考虑问题的创新思维能力。与控制性作文相比，开放性作文不仅扩大了命题的写作的范围，提高了考生的写作兴趣，而且把对考生的考查提高到更高、更新的层面上来。因此开放作文给学生提供了更广的写作空间，有利于培养学生的创新意识，同时也要求考生必须要思维活跃开善于发散思维，近几年此题型常考的文体有两种：记叙文和议论文。记叙丈就是要求考生根据给的材料，展．开充分的想象，拓展原材料，把整个事情表达清楚。而议论文要求考生对所给的材料进行分析，然后发表自己的观点或看法。

文章的亮点在于：
1．恰当使用过渡词：For one thing …for another，therefore，however，What’s worse等的使用使语意连贯，衔接自然。
2．表达自己观点时用到了personally , I hold the view that …被动句single children may be more spoiled，原因状语从句、定语从句、动名词复合结构以及1eave+宾语+宾语补足语leave the child less able m interact well with people of his or her own age.等的应用在一定程度上体现作者较为深厚的语言功底，同时又十分自然。
但文章也存在不足之处：
1．有明显的语法错误，如：第二段中的非限制性定语从句which make them more dependent on their parents.中的make应改为makes，因为which代替的是前面的整个情况。又如：第三段开头句子there seems to have some other problems这是there be句型的变型，所以have应改为be。
2．文章结束得太突然，使读者读起来感觉好像后面还有内容，最好再做个总结。
实例指导3－交友

本文为一篇夹叙夹议的图画作文。习作者能抓住图画要点，将有关事件有机地联系在一起。议论部分能切中时弊、有的放矢。既点出了李华这种行为的根源，又向社会发出了呼吁。说明作者有一定的社会洞察力和语言表达能力。从文中的错处可看出，习作者犯的都是“小”错误。而小错在一定程度上会影响英语水平的提高。若能突破这一点，习作者的写作水平一定会有很大提高。
不足之处
1、把In改为On。在具体的一天的早晨、晚上要用on。又如：on the morning of Octomber1

Coming of Age Ceremony
Wuhan city once held a very special Coming of Age Ceremony, in which more than 500 students, wearing clothes from the Han Dynasty, performed a series of designed actions in ancient music. In my opinion, the Coming of Age Ceremony is quite important, but I don’t agree that such a special ceremony by Wuhan city should be held. For one thing, I think wearing Han Dynasty clothing has nothing to do with this ceremony. For another thing the whole process makes students feel as if they were acting in a movie, and that reduces the solemnity of this ceremony. In conclusion, I think the most appropriate way to celebrate it is to take an oath and to allow ourselves to be organized by the Communist Youth League to do good things and help people in need.
