  Step1. Daily report

  1.Teach the new words in the report

  2.Give the report in front of the class

  3.Give comments and suggestions

  Step2. Warming– up & Revision

  Revision questions about the comic strip and welcome to the unit.

  Do you remember the two new friends we met in our book yesterday?

  What do you know about them?

  Who is the master?

  What do they hope to get from the other?

  What do you say when you meet your new friends?

  Greetings (good morning/afternoon/evening/night)

  Step3. Lead-in & Presentation (1)

  Ask students to answer the following questions to lead-in.

  Ask the Ss questions and elicit the new words and expressions.

  How old are you? Which class are you in? Where do you live? Where do you come from? Where are you from? Where were you born? What’s your hobby? Are you good at it?

  What does he look like? What is he like?

  Step4. Practice

  Ss read after the teacher and practice reading the new words and expressions.

  Step5. Presentation(2)

  Ss read the passages and finish off Ex B1 & B2.

  Feedback. ( Tell the Ss how to answer the questions in sentences.)

  Step6. Practice reading.

  Read after the tape. --- Read by themselves.----Read one by one. (One sentence at a time.)

  Step7. Homework

  Read and recite the first three passages after class& prepare for the dictation.
