  第23讲 书面表达2016新题赏析

  主讲教师:张志强 北京市英语高级教师

  题一:

  Dear Tom,

I am happy to know that you are beginning to learn Chinese. It’s true that Chinese is not easy to learn, but there is no need to feel worried. I will give you some advice.

According to some language experts, the first thing for you to do is to understand what kind of learner you are. Some people are “visual learners” and remember best by seeing pictures and visualizing things in their mind; others are “auditory” and are happy to learn by listening; “kinesthetic” learners tend to learn by doing things and experience. Then you should realize what weak language skills you are going to improve. And finally, make a practical plan and carry it on step by step until you succeed.

As far as I am concerned, it’s important that you choose a good teacher who knows the difference between the two languages. Most importantly, you should always keep in mind that you must have confidence in yourself. Don’t be frightened by the seemingly hard task. Break your main task into smaller goals and you will realize your dream in the end.

Hope you will be getting on better with your Chinese.

  Yours,

  Li Hua

  题二:

Recently a survey was conducted among the students in one school about how to choose their courses and universities. Senior middle school graduates of this school have different opinions about it.

About 35% of the students believe the choice should be based on their own interests. They say interest is the mother of success. It is a miserable thing to have to spend most of your time studying what you have no interest in.

Most students around 45%, however, insist that main consideration should be given to the needs of the society, for, they argue, not everyone can find the job they like best. Besides, interest can be born and changed.

In my opinion, it’s really difficult to make a choice and they would rather depend on their parents or teachers to make a decision for them.

  题三:

Recently, a survey about the safety of school buses has been conducted on a website because traffic accidents associated with school buses are so frequent that people show great concern about the safety of the school buses. We can see from the chart that only 36.2% of the interviewees trust school bus, while 40.4% of them show their distrust. 23.6% of them are not clear about it.

For those who don’t trust school buses, 36% are afraid of abandoned vehicles being used. And about 22% of them worry that the school buses are often overloaded, which can cause serious traffic accidents. About 22% of them are concerned that the school buses are not equipped with safety equipment like safety belts. Another 19% blame drivers for breaking the speed limit.

As far as I am concerned, effective measures should be taken to ensure the safety of the students. More money should be invested to improve the quality of school buses. Meanwhile, all the school buses should be examined regularly.

  题四:

  Saturday, May 4, 2011

Li Ming and I took part in a wilderness survival program yesterday, and it has been one of the most unforgettable experiences since high school.

Early in the morning, we set out. Li Ming was carrying a compass and a tent in his backpack, and in mine there was a flashlight, a map, a knife, a firstaid kit, some matches, candles, food and clothing.

On the way to the campsite, we climbed a hill, and then we swam across a river, pushing the backpack on a large piece of wood we had found by the river.

As we got into a forest, we lost our way. Luckily, we found the right direction with the compass.

By the time we arrived at the campsite, it had already been dark. Li Ming then put up the tent, and I made a fire and started cooking.

The two of us spent the night in the forest.

We learnt to use knowledge gained in classroom training to solve problems. It was quite an experience for us both, which I’ll never forget for the rest of my life.

  题五:

  Dear Tom,

I’m in New York! It’s really a pity that I didn’t find you at the railway station. You may have left when my train arrived a quarter behind the schedule.

Luckily, on the train I came across Mr. Taylor and his wife, who are Chinese and have been living in America for years. Seeing that there was no one to meet me at the station, they offered to drive me to your house.

As you happen to be out, I’ve decided to accept the Taylor’s offer to stay at their house for the night. They are very friendly to me, so don’t worry about me. I’ll be all right. It can’t be better if you can call me at my phone number 64611128 this evening.

Looking forward to meeting you soon.

  Yours,

  Li Hua

  题六:

  Good morning, ladies and gentlemen,

Today I’d like to talk to you about friendship. Friendship is one of the greatest pleasures that people can enjoy.

Real friends are those who can share all our sorrows and double our joys. No man can make most of his life without the help of his true friends. True friends share your ideals and feelings; they will not leave you when you are in hot water; they will not take advantage of you when you are in favorable conditions; and they will offer you their sincere advice when you are lost.

We should choose those as our friends who have good characters, great ability and a kind heart. We should treat our friends politely, forgive their mistakes and try to help them as much as possible. If so, we’ll be able to keep our pure friendship burning all our life.

  Thanks for your listening.
