An Egyptian national dialogue between President Mohamed Morsi and leaders of political factions has got underway.
Morsi invited 11 parties and some independent figures for dialogue at the presidential palace on Monday, but Egypt's main opposition bloc, the National Salvation Front, are refusing to attend.
Morsi has also decided to impose a 30-day curfew and a state of emergency in Port Said, Suez and Ismailia, after bloody clashes in the three governorates.
Clashes between police and protesters in Cairo continued, while a lot of people of the three governorates fearlessly violated the curfew.
"The president Mohammed Morsi does not make his own decisions. The Supreme guide of the Muslim Brotherhood is the one who actually make decisions, all of the decisions. The president does not have a say in any matter."
Clashes erupted Saturday in Port Said after a court sentenced 21 convicts to death over last year's soccer riots that killed 74 people.
According to the official news agency MENA, the death toll in Port Said has risen to 42, while the total number of injured people has exceeded 1,000.
