The victory distanced Pinheiros from second placed Brasilia, third placed Universo and fourth placed Flamengo with only six rounds remaining before entering the playoffs.
Olivinha led Pinheiros, scoring a double-double with a game- high 24 points with 11 rebounds. Robinson led Minas with 22 points in his team's 10th loss of the season.
With a record of 16 wins and five losses, Pinheiros stand two games in front of second place and reigning champions Brasilia.
In other results around the league on Sunday, Bauru defeated Brasilia 92-85, helping Pinheiros. Additionally, Assis beat Uberlandia 94-90, Franca defeated Joinville 84-82, Flamengo won on the road against Paulistano 91-82 and Vitoria edged off Limeira 87- 79.
