Inter striker Diego Milito will be sidelined for four weeks after picking up a thigh injury, the Italian Serie A club said on Monday.
Milito suffered a thigh injury at the tail end of the Nerazzurri's 5-3 win over Roma on Sunday and it was diagnosed on Monday as a "second degree strain to the biceps femoris of the thigh", according to club doctor Franco Combi.
The knock is likely to keep the Argentine on the sidelines for approximately a month, meaning he will certainly miss the first leg of European Champions League final 16 against Bayern Munich on February 23.
The 31-year-old played a pivotal role throughout the tournament last season for Inter as they claimed the treble, scoring two goals in the final against the German powerhouse.
