Real Madrid have agreed to sell Mali midfielder Mahamadou Diarra to French Ligue 1 side Monaco, the Spanish club said on Thursday.
"Real Madrid and AS Monaco have agreed the transfer of the player Mahamadou Diarra," Real said in a brief statement on its website.
"The agreement is dependent of the player passing a medical exam, as well as the signing of the contract with his new club."
The 29-year-old Mali international came to Madrid from Lyon in 2006, but he has been struggling to make the first team this season under coach Jose Mourinho.
