The U.S. cycling hero Lance Armstrong will lead a 25km ride through Australia's third largest city of Brisbane on Monday morning to raise money for Queensland's flood relief effort, the Australian Associated Press (AAP) reported on Monday.
Brisbane-born Australian professional road bicycle racer Robbie McEwen will join him for Queensland Ride Relief.
Armstrong comes to Brisbane straight from riding in the Tour Down Under in Adelaide on Sunday, his final international race.
With Armstrong's involvement, the ride is expected to raise up to 500,000 AU dollars (494,850 U.S. dollars) for flood victims, it 's unlikely that his legions of devoted fans will care about the slip.
